I'm the one who started this wiki and now I'm fleeing the country. I will be out of touch March 7-15. If all hell breaks loose, mmatassa has the authority to lock down pages, kick people out, etc.

if pgi and advertising and newspaper print publications would slash pricing for average consumer budgets, it would not be going out of business. All those classifieds... well, the income budget can not afford such high cost, as many ads charge.

I hate to see printing companies in different communities go out of business because not all consumers are on line for things, which... well I do. There are needs for both.

I think that one of the major reasons for such in the printing industry, is because of ad cost. And if cost were down to realistic figures, small local companies and consumers could justify those cost.

Face it, someone who needs a roomate, can not afford $80-100 an ad or more which is average print cost. Or a small biz hiring, can not afford $500 to hire ad. The classifieds just got too high, and that is also a part of this issue for awhile now, much less the manafesting of bad economy.

Wishing you well and hope you grow again to where you were.

My bill for my 7-day/week PI subscription came today ($58.50 for the period 3/31 through 6/29), with not one word about the demise of the paper. Wassup with that? I am in such mourning about the end of the PI that I'm only now starting to come out of the denial phase. Whosomever vows to carry on the journalistic heart and soul of the paper can count on my subscription price (times at least two) till death do us part.
